Simon is a Principal consultant, specialising in the Manufacturing and Engineering Executive Search Practice. He joined the company in 2023 and is supported by Lucy Marwood.
Simon’s work primarily involves partnering with Plc, privately owned, and PE-backed entities to recruit impactful leaders at the head of level, functional directors, and managing directors. He works with client organisations ranging from FTSE 100 brands to niche SME businesses in sectors such as Advanced Materials, Aerospace, Built Environment, Defence, Heavy Industry, Precision Engineering, and Electronics manufacturing. Simon works nationally, with a broad remit across the entire Industrial sector, operating regionally in the Southwest and West Midlands. He has filled notable roles such as Site Directors, Commercial Directors, Sales Directors, Manufacturing Directors, and Engineering Directors for FTSE 100 and privately-owned manufacturing businesses across various sectors.
Prior to joining Berwick Partners, he worked for boutique and listed Executive Search firms, delivering searches across the Industrial sector in the UK and overseas. Within the business, Simon is part of the mental health allies group.
My work is about investing the time to really understand all aspects of an organisation before executing an executive search to allow them to access transformative leadership talent, to ensure their strategic objectives can be achieved.
Simon holds a BA in History from Cardiff University and an MA in History from the University of Exeter. Outside of work, he resides in Exeter, enjoys being close to the coast and moors, and is passionate about travel, nature, golf, and tennis.
