Hannah Russell is a Consultant within the HR Practice at Berwick Partners.

She joined the firm in 2024 and has extensive experience working on HR roles across sectors.  Hannah brings particular expertise in financial and professional services, with a focus on partnering with transforming organisations. She has successfully placed key roles such as Head of People and Operations in the legal sector, People Lead for a leading retailer, Divisional Head of People for a PE-backed insurer, and People Risk and Control Lead in banking.

I care about helping organisations to find HR talent who can lead change and build a great culture.  My experience working in HR means that I have a deep understanding of HR and People functions, and I bring extensive expertise in HR and business transformation. 

Before joining Berwick Partners, Hannah worked for a global HR boutique consultancy and spent over a decade in various in-house HR roles. She began her career on the HR graduate programme at a leading global bank working in a variety of HR business partnering and centre of excellence roles. Hannah has worked extensively globally, including spending time in Singapore, Warsaw, and Beijing, as well as roles spanning the EMEA and Asia regions.

Hannah holds a BA (Hons) in Politics and Economics from the University of York and an MSc in Human Resources and Organisational Analysis from King’s College London. She is also a graduate member of the CIPD.

Outside of work, Hannah sits on the School Improvement Committee for a multi-academy trust responsible for the education of over 4,500 students.  Hannah lives in London with her husband and two children.
