Odgers Berndtson – Executive Search Provider of the Year

The Odgers Berndtson executive search and recruitment healthcare team is unique in its work across the full spectrum of health and care sectors; comprising the NHS, hospices and private healthcare.

We achieve this by combining the expertise of our executive search, senior management and interim recruitment expertise across Odgers Berndtson, Berwick Partners, and Odgers Interim.

Odgers Berndtson operates across all major health economies so we can deliver international search with local sector expertise in health given our presence in Western Europe (including Germany, Belgium, and Holland), North America and Canada, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, and the Middle East.

Berwick Partners recruits senior leadership and executive roles in the UK for the NHS and private healthcare sector. Our experience spans NHS clients across acute, specialist, community, mental health, commissioning, and system level.

We have access to networks that enable us to offer a diverse shortlist of candidates from within the NHS and potential candidates from the wider public sector and commercial organisations where the roles allow.

Berwick Partners’ Private Healthcare practice is one of the leading healthcare recruitment firms for senior professionals. We work with a wide range of healthcare service providers, from diagnostics to mental health to allied healthcare to help appoint outstanding individuals across all senior functions. Our clients regard us as trusted advisors with an efficient and personal service. Primarily, we yield results in terms of attracting exceptional talent.

Odgers Interim sources outstanding senior executives to provide immediate short-term injections of management skills, which in the long-term add value to an organisation.

Since 2000, we have built an exceptional consulting team with members who have board level and senior management experience in a wide variety of market sectors and disciplines, both as permanent and interim executives.

One of key strengths is the ability to successfully provide interim management services with credibility across a wide range of sectors and functions. Our success has been achieved through our comprehensive network of outstanding interim executives, the strength of our delivery and ongoing commitment as a trusted advisor.

Baroness Virginia Bottomley chairs the Odgers Berndtson Board Practice. She conducts searches for chairs, chief executives, and non-executive directors for plcs, private companies and major public organisations. Virginia was formerly a non-executive director at AkzoNobel, Bupa, Smith & Nephew and ICC UK and was a Member of Parliament from 1984 to 2005 serving successively as secretary of state for health in both Margaret Thatcher’s and John Major’s governments.
Judges’ comments

“A comprehensive service that not only addresses recruitment but supports the industry and employees and employers with many additional services and events.”

“Odgers Berndtson is a powerhouse in this sector. Its appointments are seriously heavyweight, with many anchor appointments. It has significant global resources to draw on and appears to be diverse and socially conscious, engaged, and charitable. Its leading diagnostic recruitment tools, as well as its data measurement processes, marks it out as a tech leader.”
