The Role

The Sales Director is responsible for setting and driving UK Titleist sales strategy and performance of the UK region. This includes management of an already successful and market leading Commercial/Sales team. The role is also a key stakeholder in establishing strategies for the broader go-to market execution and consumer journey that golfers experience with Titleist, collaborating with other functions in doing so.

Furthermore, this role is involved in ensuring that Acushnet are providing industry-leading customer service, championing the voice of the customer as a member of the UK Senior Leadership Team.

The Successful Candidate

  • Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering a 5-year strategic sales plan and linking this throughout the business and other functions to ensure successful execution.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture international relationships within an international business (our US headquarters / corporate) and with CMC members to generate support and backing for sales strategies and approach.
  • Significant experience of managing multiple sales functions and sales channels simultaneously (field sales / corporate / DTC / digital etc.) and sales management positions.
  • Demonstrate career progression with increasing responsible experience in a sales or business leadership role is required.
  • Specific field sales experience including selling through the full life cycle of products - from introduction of product through to end of life - in a seasonable business where product life cycles can be 24 months. Ideally, with pre-sales and top up businesses and with multiple channels.
  • Previous experience in a management role with responsibilities that included interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, showing demonstratable success and improvements over time.
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and experiences. As well as a willingness to be both strategic and provide a hands-on approach, as needed, is important to success in the role.
  • A highly motivated team player that is data and detail driven with deep appreciation for executional excellence.
  • Experience within the golf industry highly desirable. As is a strong knowledge and passion for the game of golf and golf equipment.
