The Role

BioPak is seeking a commercially driven and operationally hands-on Sales Director to lead the UK sales function. This role is pivotal in driving strategic growth across the QSR, retail, and FMCG sectors, while embedding a high-performance, data-led sales culture.

The Sales Director will be responsible for leading the sales team, building strong customer relationships, optimising key account performance, and ensuring the sales organisation is structured for scale. This is a key leadership role reporting into the UK Managing Director and working closely with marketing, operations, and finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand BioPak’s presence across QSR, foodservice, and retail sectors.
  • Team Development: Lead, coach, and inspire the sales team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers (e.g. McDonald’s, Aldi, Deliveroo, Coca-Cola).
  • Operational Excellence: Streamline sales operations and embed a structured, data-driven approach to performance management and forecasting.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Align sales initiatives with marketing, product, and operational strategies to ensure a unified go-to-market approach.
  • Market Insight: Conduct market research and develop actionable insights to inform product development and commercial strategy.
  • Commercial Impact: Drive revenue growth and customer retention through pricing optimisation, promotional effectiveness, and operational improvements.

The Candidate

Candidates will ideally have senior level sales/marketing or broader commercial leadership experience. They need to be able to develop and execute a growth strategy, taking the team with them. They will come from a broader FMCG/foodservice background with extensive experience of distribution sales as well as direct channel sales. They will bring demonstrable track record of delivering profitable growth of both volumes and revenues.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of sales leadership within the QSR, retail, or FMCG sectors. They will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of building high-performing teams and delivering tangible commercial results.
