Opportunities

Fundraising Director, Maggie’s, Location: Hammersmith, London with occasional UK travel, Salary: up to £150,000 (for an exceptional candidate) + excellent benefits

More people in the UK are being diagnosed and are living with cancer and as a result, more people than ever need Maggie’s support. For almost three decades we have been a trailblazer for cancer care and last year we supported 327,000 visits in our 24 centres, the highest number on record and 5% more than the year before. This reflects the extraordinary work of Maggie’s staff and volunteers across the UK who are committed to ensuring people with cancer, and their family and friends, can access the expert support they need.

Our ambition is to be there for everyone with cancer in the UK, at all 60 cancer centre sites. This will ensure that everyone living with cancer in the UK is able to access free, expert support they so desperately need to have the best quality of life possible.

Our 5-year plan (2023-2027) focuses on excellence, reaching more people, and building relationships to provide the best cancer care. This ambition for people with cancer will be underpinned by robustly growing our income and support and ensuring that all Maggie’s supporters feel valued, engaged and inspired.

We are seeking a transformational Fundraising Director who will be a visionary and dynamic leader with a distinguished track record of transforming income generation strategies and delivering sustained, long-term growth. The ideal candidate will be recognised for their innovative and forward-thinking approach to philanthropy, combining entrepreneurial flair with strategic and operational excellence to unlock new opportunities and drive meaningful impact.

Thriving in fast-paced environments, you will demonstrate agility and decisiveness, and will be able to respond quickly to emerging opportunities and challenges. Your ability to lead with clarity and momentum will be key to driving innovation and delivering results, without compromising on quality or impact.
