Alcumus-Veriforce, Managing Director, SafeHR and SafeWorkforce, Hybrid working with a main base from either the Cardiff or Bath office, Competitive base salary + bonus + equity

Alcumus-Veriforce is a new global organization, backed by private equity house Apax Partners, that combines the expertise, knowledge and track record of two leading companies within the risk management, compliance, health and safety and sustainability sphere. Underpinned by technology, both organizations have an enviable span of operations across a myriad of sectors and geographies, operating across 100+ countries. Fast-growing and ambitious for further organic and acquisitive growth, the combined entity becomes the largest Supply Chain Risk Management provider across the world and has aspirations to more than double turnover in five years.

SafeHR and SafeWorkforce are two separate businesses that are coming together for the first time as a standalone business unit within Alcumus-Veriforce UK. Both organizations cater the small contractor market, providing HR and Health and Safety services respectively to businesses ranging from 2 to 50 people, through subject-matter experts but also digital tools. Combined, the overall business unit will have a turnover of c.£10 million (SafeHR c.£3 million and SafeWorkforce c.£7 million), is highly profitable and will employ 65 people directly (Commercial and Operations) with another 15 indirectly supporting the business unit (Finance, Technology etc.).

As a result, Alcumus-Veriforce UK has an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead this newly-formed business unit as its first ever Managing Director, reporting to the UK Chief Executive and leading a direct team of c.65. With an already established customer base through referrals from sister brand SafeContractor, there is a fantastic platform to grow the business from is existing size and scale to triple in revenue over the next three to five years. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for both brands, bringing the teams together for the first time, collaborating internally to increase cross-referral of customers and improve the brand and marketing proposition to grow customer acquisition.

You will be passionate about growing businesses and comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational level. Either leading a business unit or brand currently, or ready to take that step from either the Commercial or Operations functions, you will bring experience of working within the Services sector, ideally leading technical experts of some kind. You will have operated within fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environments where change is a constant.
