Who We Are: The Amjad and Suha Bseisu Foundation is a UK-based charity providing higher education scholarships in the UK, US, Middle East and Malaysia. We work to reduce financial barriers to education, with a focus on youth, women and refugees in STEM. With a mission rooted in educational opportunity and social impact, the Foundation is entering an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation.
The Role: The Foundation is seeking an Executive Director to lead it into an exciting new phase of growth and development. This newly established role reflects the organisation’s expanding ambitions to broaden its activities and ensure long-term sustainability through a more diversified funding model.
A key focus of the Executive Director will be to transition the Foundation away from a primarily donation-led approach. While continued support from trustees, individual donors, and investments will remain essential, the introduction of new revenue streams will be critical to enabling meaningful expansion. Driving this growth, the Executive Director will be expected to bring forward their own strategic initiatives to extend the Foundation’s reach and impact.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Aligned values: Hold a genuine passion for improving the lives of individuals in the Levant through education, specifically Palestinians in living the West Bank and Gaza.
- Creative: Have a talent to develop new and unique ways to improve operations, develop new partnerships and envision projects to expand the Foundations reach.
- Effective communicator: Possess first-rate written communication skills with the ability to communicate passionately and articulately.
- Self-starter: Naturally takes initiative, works independently, and proactively drives tasks forward without needing direction. This is underscored as the role is expected to transition into the Chief Executive position within 3 to 6 months—making strategic vision and drive essential qualities for the successful candidate.
