Group Financial Controller – Confidential Business – London – Competitive Package

The business operates within the cleantech / renewable energy sectors. It is high growth and dynamic and has spent the last 18 months refocussing the operating model to align with core strategic objectives. The business is well capitalised with engaged investors who are enjoying the growth journey and remain incredibly supportive and ambitious for the future. The purpose of the Group Financial Controller role is to continue the professionalisation and futureproofing of the Finance Function. 

The Group Financial Controller (GFC) will report to the Head of Corporate Finance and be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of financial management, forecasting, reporting and business partnering for the business and its subsidiaries. It will work closely with Corporate Finance to ensure the financial health of the company and compliance with regulatory requirements. The GFC will lead a team of 12 and will ensure the function remains fit for the future. 

• Degree education, Accountancy qualification (FCA/FCCA/CIMA qualification preferred)
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller within a group structure or a similar role in the UK
• Cleantech or renewable energy sector experience
• Experience of a high growth business where transformation and continuous improvement was prioritised
• Good awareness/knowledge of UK accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal abilities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
