The Role
Reports to - Chief Product Officer;
Status - Full Time
As the VP Global Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of an already successful business. You will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and driving the development of innovative products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering strategies with business goals and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Additionally, you will grow out the US based engineering capability and lead UK teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship and support.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies, goals and objectives aligned with the company's vision.
- Oversee the design, development, and delivery of high-quality products and solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering processes and efficiency.
- Manage engineering budgets, resources and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
The Candidate
This role is well suited to a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivery in a senior engineering leadership role, preferably at Senior Manager / VP Engineering level or similar. You will have an excellent technical background with expertise in electromechanical developments and proven leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to attract best in class talent and lead, motivate and inspire a diverse team of engineers is essential, along with a strategic mindset and a track record of successfully executing complex projects.
- Relevant degree or equivalent in an engineering-related discipline.
- Proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role.
- Strong technical background with expertise in electromechanical developments.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
