The Role

Populo is looking for a Director of Finance to be part of a small but talented Executive Team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will be a key contributor to the success of Populo’s growth ambitions by providing strategic financial leadership, risk management and corporate governance, and by ensuring the effective organisational management of the Group’s people, information and physical resources.

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with significant and broad post-qualification experience.
• A proven track record leading the development of financial and commercial strategy, risk management and robust governance and legal compliance for a growing developer, housing company or Registered Provider.
• Experience of working as a senior professional with, and being accountable to, multiple Boards and Committees as well as senior stakeholders and a shareholder.
• Substantial experience of collaborating and contributing to a high-performing senior executive team.
• Exceptional commercial acumen and business knowledge of private and affordable housing development, with thorough insight into trading and other delivery models that deliver viable income streams and value for money.
• Highly evolved situational leadership skills, with the ability to lead by example, coach, motivate and meaningfully engage staff.
• Professionally resilient and experienced in managing complex, multiple priorities and embodying high levels of personal drive and energy.
