Over the coming years, approximately 1,500 unique homes will be built, surrounded by open, green spaces including woodland, allotments, and a network of cycle and footpaths. Since the first phase of plots was released in summer 2016, the village has been growing rapidly. The village now features a primary school, a pre-school nursery, a community centre, shops, cafes, a local pub, and new amenities such as a cocktail bar, wine shop, coffee shop, and a state-of-the-art dentist practice. Additionally, the latest phase of 22 properties will be all-electric, featuring air source heat pump technology and underfloor heating, ensuring higher energy efficiency and sustainability.

Graven Hill Village Holding Company Ltd and Graven Hill Village Development Company Ltd (GHDC) were established by Cherwell District Council to own and develop the Graven Hill site. In an innovative move, and after significant due diligence, including examining European sites, Graven Hill was purchased from the Ministry of Defence in 2014.

The Company has a board of Directors comprising a mix of Independent Non Executives and Executive Directors. The company has the same responsibilities as a standard development body – to be commercially successful and deliver a high quality sustainable development to an approved business plan.

As part of the continued growth and development of Graven Hill and GHDC, we are looking for two Independent Non-Executive Directors to join the Board, bringing with them a range of experiences to work alongside the current Board and our recently appointed Chair, Terry Fuller.
