The Royal Parks is a charity managing over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats, and historic buildings across eight iconic parks in London, including Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and Richmond Park. With 77 million visits annually, we host major events like the British Summertime Festival and Winter Wonderland, making us one of the UK's most visited attractions.

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Director to lead our Commercial Directorate. This critical role will give you the opportunity to work within out historic environments to develop and implement multiple strategies to generate over £40m annually from events, catering, retail, and more.  You will be able to work across the whole charity as well as external stakeholders to ensure our commercial activities deliver excellence in line with our organisational values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of over 100 staff, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
  • Ensure the delivery of world-class events and sustainable commercial activities.
  • Develop and execute a new Income Generation Strategy, diversifying and growing income streams.
  • Oversee major commercial procurement exercises and ensure effective contract management.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and Trustees as a member of the Executive Committee.

About You:

  • Proven senior-level experience in a commercial director or similar role.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing large teams and departments.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, strategic mindset, and innovative thinking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders.
