We are the go-to, not-for-profit, Member-owned co-operative in the agricultural sector. AF is dedicated to providing our Members with the best procurement solutions and services since we merged Mid Norfolk Farmers and Loddon Farmers in 2003 to create Anglia Farmers. We are not a supplier; we are an extension of our Members’ businesses, saving them money, time, and hassle.

The Role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Executive to lead The AF Group into its next phase of growth. This is a pivotal role where you will drive our strategic direction, enhance Member engagement, and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional value. You will be instrumental in executing our strategy of "Buying better, together" and fostering strong relationships with our Members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organisation, building on the strategic vision and growth initiatives.
  • Use your commercial acumen to increase the number of Members and deepen the engagement we have with them.
  • Inspire and motivate our teams through strong leadership and coaching, drawing out and developing existing expertise.
  • Transition our culture from a reactive order-taking culture to a proactive, growth-focused culture.
  • Strengthen relationships with suppliers, influencers, and other stakeholders.

About You

  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in business growth.
  • Inspirational and visionary leadership skills.
  • Experience in the service sector, ideally with a contracted customer base.
  • Ability to develop and implement a growth strategy.
  • High-level communication skills to engage effectively with the board, team, and Members.
  • Empathy and understanding of the farming community and their unique challenges.
