The company was founded in Denmark in 1963 and has grown organically and through acquisition, becoming a leading supplier to a wide range of industries. M Seals UK operates from three locations in the UK – Gateshead, Leicester and Sheffield, having grown through four acquisitions in recent years.
The RoleThis is a pivotal leadership position within M Seals, playing a crucial role as part of the Senior Leadership Team and reporting to the Group MD. This role involves developing and executing the strategic vision that supports the ambitious goal of growing the UK business through diversifying revenues to manage the risk profile of the business.
The role is responsible for leading the UK business and maximising gross margins across the company's diverse range of industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong strategic mindset, with the ability to identify and capitalise on market opportunities through a hands-on leadership approach to achieve revenue targets as well as developing the culture of the UK business.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Full P&L ownership, responsible for the entire UK operation.
- Oversee the company's business operations, financial performance, investments and ventures.
- Supervise, guide and delegate to your team in their duties.
- Develop the business strategy and seek to promote organic growth across core target markets.
- Deliver monthly reports to the Group MD and CEO for the Seals sector.
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated.
- Assess, manage and resolve problematic developments and situations.
- Be part of group projects, such as ERP implementation etc.
- It is expected that travel between the UK and head office in Denmark will be undertaken on a regular basis.
The PersonThe is a unique opportunity to lead a business that is part of a FTSE 100 Group, with significant growth plans, that will suit a proven Managing Director.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven MD or GM, who can evidence leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Preferably experienced in a significant manufacturing and distribution business.
- Able and proven in using market intelligence, insight and data to shape the sales organisation, to be effective and resilient.
- Financially literate and able to oversee the P&L.
- Experienced in leading a high-performing operation, driving operational efficiencies.
- Has led a business or a division of a larger business within the UK industrial sector.
Location and PackageThis role can be based from either the Leicester or Sheffield offices, with regular travel to the M Seals group head office in Denmark. The package includes an attractive six figure base salary plus car allowance and a significant bonus, along with additional benefits.
