A customer-focused, senior IT infrastructure and services leader is required to spearhead the transformation and improvement of the underpinning IT infrastructure landscape at The Trust.
GSTT is one of the country’s most high profile and important NHS Trusts however, we need to radically transform our legacy technology stack whilst driving an uptick in performance and availability of the core IT and networks.
This is a senior and highly challenging IT infrastructure and networks leadership role. It will have accountability for all IT ‘run’ hosted at the Trust whilst simultaneously planning and carrying out
a refresh of the technology stack to improve customer satisfaction for our 25,000 mission critical IT users.
The Role
The Director of IT will be accountable for the on-site IT infrastructure, network, and services at the Trust. Working closely with the GSTT users they will build relationships and confidence, make IT easy to engage with and operate as the ‘face of IT’ to our leadership team.
Devise and deliver a new IT Infrastructure model for which will dramatically improve our IT performance levels whilst significantly reducing the severity and frequency of outages. Create and implement an IT infrastructure roadmap which will both address significant technical debt and go on to deliver a sector leading service for GSTT colleagues.
Galvanise the current team, driving the adoption of contemporary IT disciplines and approaches. Shape a service driven, forward thinking and responsive team culture which meets the needs of the Trust and improves customer satisfaction.
The Candidate
The candidate will have demonstrable experience of successfully driving improvement in IT infrastructure and service provision in a large and complex, customer-driven and technology reliant organisation.
Collaborative in approach, yet demonstrating gravitas, and a track record of senior-level customer stakeholder engagement. You should have proven experience working with senior stakeholders to establish meaningful, mutually agreed IT performance measures across a wide range of technology services.
Energetic, tenacious, and customer-focused, you will be an enthusing people leader. You will have experience of leading and motivating large IT teams and encouraging the adoption of modern infrastructure, technology, and service models.
