Formed in 1977, Bristan offers a complete spectrum of innovative taps, showers and accessories for domestic, commercial and industrial specifications. It is a market leading supplier of taps and showers into the UK market with 1 in 5 British households containing one of their products. With more than 75 years of combined design and engineering expertise, Bristan Group’s two most established brands – Bristan and Heritage Bathrooms – have been making bathroom products in the UK since the 1970s.
In 2002, Bristan’s success attracted the attention of global housewares company, Masco. The US based business purchased the company and joined it with A&J Gummers and Heritage Bathrooms to form the Bristan Group.
This is a wonderful, newly created position for someone to increase the strategic capability of the procurement function within the Bristan Group. Reporting into the CEO, the role will take ownership of a small team in the UK, tasked with managing the sourcing activity of products from existing and new suppliers you will work closely with colleagues in sales and quality on new product development and introduction, whilst looking at improving existing supplier performance and considering new lines of supply.
The role will be responsible for managing both direct and indirect goods and services for the Bristan Group and you will work closely with counterparts and colleagues across the wider Masco group to explore areas of synergy and collaboration.
The successful candidate will be an experienced procurement leader either operating at a similar capacity in another organisation or someone eager to move up to lead the function. Either way you will have a rich experience in sourcing finished goods/products from China and South-East Asia, ideally gained within another distributor business model.
An attractive base salary is on offer for the successful individual, along with a company and group bonus scheme, company car allowance, pension, private healthcare and the usual fringe benefits.
The successful candidate will be required to be in their Tamworth headquarters 2-3 days a week and the role will require international travel to the Far East and also within mainland Europe.
