Our people and our culture make Berwick Partners a great place to work.
We have four offices across the UK – Birmingham, Leeds, London or Manchester. There are approximately 65 of us in the Berwick team and more than 420 people across the Odgers Berndtson group, in the UK.
We are large enough to have a corporate infrastructure and create career opportunities and development, but we are also small enough to be entrepreneurial and flexible too; if you have an idea for consideration, someone will be ready to listen. We provide a comprehensive range of benefits and a fabulous suite of learning & development initiatives. Internal communication is important, and we are constantly updating employees on the latest developments, utilising all forms of technology: group messages sharing our international successes; monthly update emails; and weekly ‘coffee hugs’. We have an annual all-company offsite update in the summer, a Berwick two-day offsite away day, bi-annual business updates, quarterly business reviews and training days as well.
We have a hybrid approach to working; in general, people spend two days working from the office and three days working remotely. Each office has regular anchor days, to allow staff to meet up in person, and we have a budget for quarterly social events to encourage ‘real life’ interaction. So far, the budget has been used for a range of activities including bowling, mug painting, electric shuffleboard and an escape room.
Each office and practice team have regular events and we have an active CSR group that drives fund-raising activities throughout the year; our current charity is Cancer Research UK, and we have been busy with sponsored challenges, monthly bake-offs and a whole company day spent working in our local CRUK shops.
UNLIMITED is the group’s initiative to position inclusion and diversity at the heart of everything the firm does. Unlimited is celebrated with a global festival every autumn, incorporating training, talks from industry leaders, and informed discussions. Throughout the year, our allies groups organise additional events and talks, allowing for group discussion of topics within faith, neurodivergence, mental health and LGBTQ+, amongst others. At Berwick Partners we firmly believe ‘What we do matters’.
