An audience with Stephen Hammond, MP

Berwick Partners are delighted to have hosted an audience with Stephen Hammond, MP last week.

The MP joined us for a breakfast seminar addressing senior finance and tax leaders on the impact of Brexit from a Financial Services and Business perspective. Mr Hammond was able to articulate the protocol used for any European discussions and provided some insight into the talks so far and why it seemed little progress had been made.

Additionally, he spoke very candidly and factually about the impact of Brexit; the likely impact on Britain and the long term effects. Whilst Brexit is clearly a hugely difficult topic to discuss due to the inherent uncertainties around many of the issues, the audience felt they received a succinct overview of the situation as it stands.

Due to his strong Financial Services and Corporate background Mr Hammond understood the concerns of the attendees and was able to give his views on what he thought may be likely outcomes.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable session and we look forward to welcoming Mr Hammond to our offices again to speak at future events.
