Commercialisation Licensing Manager (Therapeutics), University of Leeds, £60,000

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to manage and commercialise early-stage therapeutics intellectual property (IP). The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for entrepreneurship and enterprise; have a strong appreciation of the life sciences market landscape; and possess experience of translating scientific innovation into commercial opportunities.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of the University’s IP licensing strategy, working with senior colleagues to set ambitious performance targets.

You will have extensive experience of building and executing commercial projects, bringing strong negotiation, analytical, planning and implementation skills to build opportunities that generate impact and financial returns for the University. Essential to this role is demonstrating initiative, a flexible approach and building effective commercial relationships between internal and external stakeholders. You will use your sound commercial opportunity assessment experience, robust project management skills and experience of technology-led innovation to deliver successful outcomes.

This is a challenging role, requiring an energetic and self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels in the organisation and the ability to think logically and clearly, work to tight deadlines and to be flexible in your approach to work.
