Richard is an Associate Partner and Head of the Procurement and Supply Chain Practice.

With an international remit, Richard recruits across the entire Procurement and Supply Chain spectrum focusing on the mid-senior management level within the Private, SME and Public Sector space. He is supported by his PA Yvonne Bailey.

Richard has 22 years’ Procurement and Supply Chain executive recruitment expertise and brings with him a wealth of knowledge in this area. He has a particular interest in Procurement Transformation and Supply Chain Optimisation focused appointments. His experience also includes a significant amount of success on international assignments ranging from North America, Europe, the Middle and Far East and Australia.

My focus is on placing emerging and senior leadership talent within the procurement environment. While a still largely unknown career path, procurement has never been more crucial to organisations, with responsibility for mitigating supplier risk, driving innovation and managing the rising wall of inflation we are all experiencing. There has never been a better time for procurement functions to cast off their perception of being a pure cost saving function, to one that is increasingly more critical, driving change and transformation and adding true commercial value in an ever changing and competitive global landscape.

Richard lives in Yorkshire with his wife and two children. He enjoys cycling and can be regularly found exploring the rolling landscape around Yorkshire, or in winter months on Zwift. He also enjoys the emotional ups and downs of watching Leeds United with his children at Elland Road.

TESTIMONIALS

Richard did a great job for us in finding our new Director of Procurement. Richard took the time to understand what we were looking for both in technical skills and ability, and values, behaviours and experience. Richard was at pains to ensure the fit was right and the nuances of a large national organisation were married with the needs of the individual, to ensure the right candidates both landed and stuck.
