Location: Pontefract

Berwick Partners are delighted to be working with Finlays to recruit a permanent Head of Digital Operations. Based from Pontefract in Yorkshire, you will lead the Digital Operations Team based locally, reporting to the Group Head of Technology. As well as indirectly supporting their Offshore Digital Support Centre, & local IT departments based across Finlays global network of offices and external vendor partners.

Finlays are a mid-sized global enterprise with a diverse IT ecosystem, consisting of multiple ERP systems, off the shelf and bespoke software and a complex infrastructure network. The Head of IT operations will oversee infrastructure, networks as well as end-user computing as well as ensuring alignment with their group IT audit framework and governance policy.

Key responsibilities

• IT Operations Strategy & Framework Development to manage IT networks, infrastructure and end-user computing.
• IT Audit Framework Execution ensuring compliance with critical areas including incident, change and problem management and data loss prevention.
• IT Operations Support & Tools Management, defining and implementing SLAS and OLAs to ensure high quality service delivery
• IT Infrastructure & Networks Management, ensuring high availability, performance and security of systems.
• Incident, Change & Problem Management

• Cybersecurity & Risk Management
• Vendor & Resource Management

Key experience

• Experience in IT Operations, Infrastructure management with knowledge of managing IT frameworks including ITIL or COBIT
• Experience with incident, change and problem management
• Experience with ServiceNow – ideally implementation experience
• Experience in managing IT networks and infrastructure
• Experience working within an IT audit framework
• People Management experience

Any previous experience with VMWare, Mindcast, Microsoft Purview, Copilot and core M365 stack would also be desirable.
