Director of People and Culture – GreenSquareAccord - Birmingham - £Competitive

Providing social housing and support services to 54,000 individuals and employing 2,000 people, GreenSquareAccord (GSA) is one of the largest social housing and care providers in England. Led by Ruth Cook, CEO and headquartered in Birmingham, GSA was formed in April 2021 through the merger of Accord Housing Association and GreenSquare Group.

Today, GSA is playing an active role in helping people deal with the consequences of the housing crisis by providing affordable homes for those who need them most. Care and support is also offered to some of the most vulnerable members of our society. This includes people who are homeless, experiencing domestic violence or who have been part of the criminal justice system.

GSA’s People Directorate is headed up by Helen Pennack, Executive Director of People. The People Team, is an integral part of Helen’s Directorate. Comprising of thirty one people based in business facing teams and centres of excellence, it will be led by the newly appointed Director of People and Culture.

In addition to the People team, Helen has responsibility for GSA’s Digital, BI and Data teams and their Communication and Corporate Affairs teams totalling a further 120 colleagues.

The Director of People and Culture will be responsible for creating and leading a forward thinking and colleague centric experience across the organisation. They will play a key role in leading and guiding the business to create a thriving workplace and driving a customer first culture.
