The Group Head of Procurement is a new position intended to further strengthen the Group, lead the procurement function globally and drive excellence across Thor’s procurement processes. The role is a high-profile position, reporting to the Group CFO and leading and developing a team of procurement professionals globally. It offers a rare opportunity to help shape a growing global business as it accelerates its transformation.

• Develop & execute a comprehensive procurement strategy for the Group aligned with the company's overall business goals.
• Proactively identify and manage supply chain risks, such as geopolitical, economic, and operational, to maintain business continuity.
• Lead, develop, and manage a team of procurement professionals globally, providing direction and guidance, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Further develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers globally to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality materials and services while optimizing costs and mitigating risks.
• Develop and maintain procurement KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track performance, provide insights and allow data-driven decisions.
• Implement efficient procurement processes, working in partnership with suppliers to deliver market-leading terms which balance long term strategic growth with short term cost competitiveness.
• Oversee the sourcing process, including vendor selection, RFQ/RFP processes, and supplier evaluations, to ensure alignment with quality and performance standards.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards, including sustainability and environmental requirements.

Thor are seeking a Group Head of Procurement with extensive experience of managing a modern Group Procurement function on a global scale, within a blue-chip environment. Step-up candidates who can demonstrate the required drive and vision will be considered. Complementing an impressive track record will be a high degree of credibility, emotional intelligence and drive. Leadership will be essential to success in this role, in particular someone who is authentic, has the highest levels of integrity and is able to articulate an enterprise-wide vision, in a way that resonates with colleagues who are not used to a Group mentality.

This is a key role within a small Group function of a large multi-national, ideal for someone with the vision and appetite to harness the potential of a de-centralised and disparate group of global procurement professionals and mould them into a high performing global procurement function.
