Berwick Partners shortlisted for Northern Housing Awards

Berwick Partners is delighted to announce that the firm has been shortlisted in the Northern Housing Awards 2021, in the category of Consultancy of the Year.

These highly respected awards aim to promote and celebrate innovative affordable housing providers, projects and services in the North that are helping to create great communities where people love to live.

Berwick Partners is the only recruitment firm to be shortlisted for these prestigious awards, showcasing the importance to the sector of the recruitment of transformational leadership positions. We are passionate about supporting our clients in making these key and diverse appointments which have a critical impact on their organisation. Tom Neely, Housing Lead for Berwick Partners has been solely focused on the sector for over 8 years.

Our expertise

Over the course of the pandemic, Tom has dedicated himself to facilitating and chairing online forums to discuss issues, challenges, solutions, and experiences across the sector. These events have not only helped senior leaders with their thought process to business-critical decisions but has also built their wider network, which may not have happened before the pandemic.

In addition to the forums, we have published numerous thought leadership articles where we give our clients insight into best practice and discuss key topics that are prevalent to the sector at the time.

We have also spoken to key leadership figures across the North such as Tracey Harrison, Matthew Harrison, Nigel Wilson and Nicole Kershaw, on what they perceive being the challenges for leaders moving forward.

Greater diversity, equality and inclusion is key to allow the Housing sector to flourish. We strive to appoint diverse leaders in the sector, whilst supporting the sector to drive their diversity and inclusion agendas. Over the past six months, we have hosted a number of events led by industry leading speakers to enable our clients to understand the journey that commercial organisations outside of the sector have been on to embrace equality. Guest speakers have included:

  • Arun Batra, Culture, Diversity and Inclusion practice at EY
  • Catherine Garrod, Head of Inclusion at Sky
  • Vikki Leach, Diversity and Inclusion Director at Zalando
  • Chuck Stephens, Global Head of Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging at Booking.com

We will make sure to update you on the outcome of the Northern Housing Awards, which takes place virtually on 13th May 2021.
